Adjara geography

Geographic relief is made of Meskheti, Arsiani, and Shavshet ranges with average height of 2000-2500m from sea-level. The highest peak is Kanli Mount (3007m from the sea-level) on the Arsiani Range. Here is also beautiful Goderdz Range (2027, from the sea-level) at water-cross of the rivers Mtkvari and Chorokhi, Alpine and seashore zones are divided with Kobuleti-Chakvi hills. Visitors are attracted and admired with the beauty of still preserved wild nature in diverse climate zones there.

Valleys of the rivers Chorokhi and Adjaristskali gift everlasting memories of wonderful landscapes. Then full of water basins are surrounded with forests rich in unique and endemic flora and fauna. All rivers in Adjara flow to the Black Sea basin except the River Kvabliani that flows to the Mtkvari.
