Adjara

Adjara (the autonomous Republic of Adjara) is situated to the south-eastern part of the Georgian Black Sea shore. Its southern edge along the Shavshet Range coincides with state border between Georgia and Turkey. Adjara borders Meskheti Range to the north, Arsian Range to the east, and the Black Sea to the west. Its total area is 2900 sq.km.

Population of Adjara is about 410 thousand people. Over 120 thousand of the population lives in Batumi - the administrative center of Adjara.

Adjara consists of five administrative regions: Kobuleti, Khalvachauri, Keda, Shuakhevi, and Khulo.

Adjara shore is 54km in length. Beautiful resorts of Pichvnari, Kobuleti, Bobokvati, Tsikhisdziri, Green Cape, Makhinjauri, Batumi, Gonio, and Sarpi are situated along the Black Sea littoral.
